Luz Mery Montes Sánchez is graduated from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, in Bogotá Colombia, as a Public Accountant. She also studied Business Management at the Business School, INALDE, Universidad de La Sabana in Chia, Colombia, and Human Resources Management and Strategic Leadership at Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, Florida. Mrs. Montes previously held several financial positions in companies such as American Tower Corp, Phoenix Tower International, Exxon Mobil, Global Tower Partners, National Federation of Coffee Growers of Colombia.
During her life, she has been a defender of Human Rights, with a focus on people with unique attributes or with special needs. Since November 2017, she was appointed by the Governor of the The state of Florida, as a Member of the Family Care Council until November 2020, where she is part of the Board of Directors. Luz is also a member of the Gold Coast Down Syndrome Organization, Hispanic Businesswomen in Palm Beach, and member of the Endowment Oversight Committee of the Equine-Assisted Therapies of South Florida. Since 2013, she is President and Founder of the organization Dreamers The project, in Florida, a nonprofit organization. In 2019 he studied at the Inter-American Development Bank, IDB, Effective Policies for Children Development.
